The dynamics of the Indian and the Chinese philosophy are forming not only the culture of India and China, it has consequences to the global world.
The book describes at first the great lines of Indian philosophy, the schools of Vedanta, Samkhya or the Carvakas. It demonstares, how the western philosophy and the natural sciences had been recipated in tzhe Indian culture. The book shows the important lines and inputs of the Indian philosophy today.
The second part of the book describes the development of the philosophical schools in China, most important the thinking of Confucianism and of Daoism. It shows the development of these schools and the reception of western philosophy in China, of the ideas of Marxism. The central point of the book is directet to the plurality of the recent philosophy in China. The book is concentrated on the dialogue of the great cultures.
