About this book deutschenglish
We can only do justice to the theme Unconscious Actions and Conscious Thinking after a great deal of research effort. Many scientists allow themselves to be provoked to declare that Man is an appendage to his unconscious activities. Others, on the other hand, try to preserve Man as the Crown of Creation. What is more we Humans have the ability, due to our reflective thinking, to subject ourselves and our brain, and our own ability to be self-aware, to be examined by research. In practice we always fall back on basic value and interest related assumptions, to maintain our identity.
We have just not become complete beings, but through an endless evolutionary process we have evolved an unconscious and fast ability to act. In the most recent part of our evolution, aided by speech, we have gained the ability to think reflectively.
The combination of conscious slow thinking with fast unconscious and partially automated actions is typical for human beings. The way we are now, men can examine the world to ever greater depths and explain ever more by our thinking. At the same time we preserve our ability to react in difficult situations even before we are consciously aware. In this way we have been optimally equipped but we still get into crises.
Why? This is the main theme of this work.
