The third volume of this series comprises a cultural and linguistic part with two essays and a second didactic part.

The very first essay pays homage to citrus fruits as a cultural element inspiring art, landscape gardening, painting, decorative art, gastronomy and the production of “eau de cologne” all over Italy. The second essay – based on the linguistic analysis of the screenplay “The Godfather” - leads us to the world of the Italian-American Mafia.

The second part of the book offers a synthesis of language teaching at Ulm University over the last 35 years. The author illustrates the didactic and methodological challenges of teaching Italian and French to students.
