The book deals with the conclusion, design and termination of coaching contracts in professional sports with a variety of contractual clauses from original coach contracts from football, handball, basketball and other sports apart. The author had corresponding original contracts from various clubs, coaches and consultants. The anonymous use of the contracts is the basis of the present, especially practical legal investigation.
The book deals with clauses from almost all areas that are usually regulated in employment contracts with coaches in practice. Special emphasis lies in the legal control of the standard practice of coaching in professional sport, as well as the exemption of coaches and the continuation of premiums in the case of the exemption. In doing so, the author focuses on current developments in case law. In addition, the author deals critically with the commonly used extension and termination options in coach contracts. In addition, coaches and clubs are offered solutions for legally compliant design of various clauses.
The work combines a variety of current legal and labor law issues in professional sports with actual conditions and practical requirements. This allows the career and the professional orientation of the author.

Attorney Dr. Stahm completed parts of his legal training in the legal departments of football Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH. Today, the author supports athletes and coaches from various sports as a lawyer in legal issues and contract negotiations and is also Honorary Chairman of the Federal Court of the BDFL Bund Deutscher Fußballlehrer. In addition, the author himself is the holder of the UEFA A-Level Coach license and has many years of experience as a coach in performance-oriented youth football.
