In a quantitative part this study explores the correlation between subjective well-being and eleven different issues during the transition time from work life to retirement. The qualitative part tries to supports the statements in order to find out how to cope emotionally the time of the crisis “Entrance of retirement”. What are the hopes and dreams, and what are the fears and worries to be confronted with in that period. If the person is already a retiree, the questions should have been answered retrospectively and compared with the occurred reality.

The quantification of statements allows a statistical analysis of the hypotheses. Despite the fact that all hypotheses have to be refused in order of the small-sized sample, the eminent meaning of the two factors Finance and Health cannot be denied.
