For this purpose, the costs of warehousing are fully analyzed and the capital costs explicitly taken into account. Furthermore, the different characteristics of stock out costs and their model effect on cost-optimized service levels are examined from the point of view of distribution logistics. The elaboration is rounded off by the analysis of the influences on the delivery capacity, which are justified in the production or procurement logistics. In this case, for example, scrap rates in production are to be mentioned, which can dash delivery schedules and commitments to customers in the short term.
