Phenomenology was one of the most important philosophical schools of the 20th century. This book provides a complete overview of its central concept: truth. The attempt is made to bring the most important concepts of truth of phenomenology – Husserl’s “evidence” and Heidegger's “discoveredness” – into a functioning unity. Firstly, the thesis must be proved that evidence has not only the structure of a correspondence type of truth, and that discoveredness is not a concept isolated from the metaphysical tradition.
