About this book deutschenglish
Much has been written about Generation Y: their members prefers money instead of luck, they don’t want the big career and instead insist on a work-life balance. In order to find out what sets Generation Y apart from others and what they prefer in the case of employers, the author chooses a bundled approach: what factors are actually preferred when people have to choose between existing concepts, for example from lower salaries but a better location?
For this purpose, respondents from different cultural backgrounds were interviewed in order to determine whether the seemingly unconventional Generation Y represents an exclusively German phenomenon. A total of 1,058 respondents, 967 of whom belonged to Generation Y, showed interesting results in terms of salary, work-life balance and prevailing stereotypes.
