Based on a theoretical overview that contrasts the different perceptions towards autism the theoretical model of the „balanced adaption “ was developed. It refers to the above questions on the basis of a survey of autistic persons and their employers within the scope of a qualitative study. This practice-oriented model identifies concepts which should support the vocational paticipation of autistic persons. The study composition shows scores of quotations of the survey which gives fascinating insights into several work-life biographies of autistic persons.
