The objective of this work is to clarify the question of whether and how, in addition to improving the quality of education, increasing the job satisfaction of teachers can also be achieved through the school development concept pedagogical school development. For this purpose, the profession of teacher in the school and classroom environment will be examined in more detail. We will explore factors that affect the job satisfaction of teachers and approaches offered by the concept of pedagogical school development to promote job satisfaction. In addition, in an empirical study, teachers of a vocational school in Berlin where the pedagogical school development concept has been implemented, were interviewed regarding their job satisfaction and the impact of implementing of the pedagogical school development three years into the model school phase.
