Corruption is a severe problem, that all of the world states are confronted with in different ways. Complaining’s about damages in social, economic and cultural structures are unmistakable. Like in other countries, too, the disastrous consequences are also observable in turkey. The topic „ Corruption in turkey“has gained weight in national and international media.

The work in hand is drawing a comparison regarding combatting corruption in Germany and in Turkey. Thereby not only a legal comparison will be made, furthermore both practical experience and the standpoint of the population as well as, will be considered and mirrored.

Methodically will be referred to newspaper reports and interviews with experts in that field, as they have been implemented with the representatives of the police, public prosecutors and the courts

the basis of police data and data of judicial authorities conveys us that corruption in Germany is considerably more spread, than in turkey. However this assumption contradicts the thesis, that corruption is more rampant in industrial countries rather than developing countries, including turkey. Hence, It must be assumed that this is a undetected field.

In that regard, reasons for, why corruption cases are not registered in the focus of Turkish statistic, will be described. (incomplete prevention measures, criminal procedural and organizational deficits, data collection problems et cetera)

Since the present work is not only reflecting the existing investigation problem in turkey in a literary form but also related to practice, it not only serves as a academic tool, but also as a guideline for prosecuting authorities.
