In an increasingly interconnected and globalized world, international political communication is more and more common. But despite this, international political understanding is still difficult to achieve today.
This is not only due to international conflicts of interest or language barriers but also to cultures. Political communication between different countries is per se intercultural communication.
This book is dedicated to intercultural issues in (international) political communication, systematically outlining a completely new research field of “intercultural political communication”. It answers the following questions. What is intercultural political communication? What characteristics does intercultural political communication have and how should it be systematically analyzed? In order to answer these questions, this book combines the theory and practice of intercultural political communication and builds an innovative framework of analysis.
