More and more educational establishments and their employees need to face the challenges of rapidly changing economic, living, social, work and learning environments. All these are affected by innumerable developments in the areas of digitalization, robotics, health, new modes of working as well as innovative teaching and learning methods to mention but the most relevant. Further training plays a leading social and economic role in this respect. It is an irrefutable guarantee for sustainable employability of each individual and is often a distinct survival strategy. Internal and on-the-job training of employees are hence quintessential factors for the commercial success of an educational institution. It is therefore all-important for everyone involved to be flexible in acquiring new, up-to-date and future oriented competences in addition to activity oriented knowledge.
The aim of this publication is to draw up a needs analysis in order to identify the further training and professional development requirements of employees who are responsible for main sections of adult education establishments. Furthermore, it has the objective to collect and present suitable, current and cost-effective methods and instruments for this purpose.
