This book, which addresses (future) language teachers and teaching
methodologists, is based on the findings of the European project
DidacTIClang (Comenius 2.1) and opens new perspectives on a true
integration of the Internet into language didactics.
On the one hand, we show how communication and collaboration
tools can be used to renew classroom practices, as they allow
learners to go beyond simulation and use language as real actors
in a social context.
Moreover we demonstrate how the development of new knowledge,
strategies and competences can help learners to use online resour-
ces efficiently in order to develop strong and sustainable language
competences and to achieve more autonomy.
Each chapter contains besides a theoretical introduction, at least one
concrete proposal for a practical activity.
